Workshop Brief

In the post-pandemic world, with training going virtual in a big way, trainers are experiencing the challenge of keeping their virtual sessions interesting and engaging.

One of the ways to keep your real and virtual training sessions interesting, is to use visual devices that are custom-created for a particular audience. On-the-Spot cartooning is one such device.

There isn't any doubt that a trainer who can add a visual element to her training program, can gain and sustain the audience's attention better than someone who relies heavily on content presentation that is more verbal and less visual in nature.

This workshop is designed to help its trainer audience experience the impact of On-the-Spot cartooning on the learning process, and provide the audience a basic methodology to quickly come up with relevant, simple to draw cartoons.

Important Note:

This workshop shall require your video and audio presence. The workshop shall emulate the contact version of the workshop conducted in Noida, and will be different only in that the 3-hour session will be conducted through Zoom. 12 Participants shall be invited to be part of this workshop.

CTP Workshop
Participants' Views

"It is always great attending sessions conducted by Shafali. The sessions are so well crafted that not even once you feel it like a monologue, a case with most of the virtual sessions. The Cartooning workshop wasn’t any different and was highly engaging and interactive. Shafali makes sure that everyone contributes and makes it an exciting and great learning experience for all the members. The workshop clearly makes you realize that in the era of software tools for eLearning, a basic hand-drawn cartoon can do wonders and bring life to your content-heavy courses. She makes you believe that it's not about skill, but about will.

Thank you once again for such an enriching experience."

- Siddharth Gurnani,
Management Consultant,

"I found the Cartooning for Trainers session to be very informative, insightful and engaging. I loved the methods that Shafali used to explain how a cartoon with simple details can bring in a huge change in the way training is delivered. To put it shortly, Shafali helped us understand how Cartooning, when used in the right way, can not just engage learners, but tap their inner child and help them connect with content in a more meaningful way. Thank you for the wonderful session, Shafali!"

- Aswin Kini,
Instructional Design Specialist,
Accenture, Bangalore (Bengaluru)

"This workshop is a must for anyone who wants to add a touch of relevant humour to their training. Specific to trainers per se, but no one is stopping to add that little hint of magic in your e-learning modules as well. Humour tingles a powerful emotion in all human beings, so why not harness its potential to connect with your learner. Imagine, drawing a small cartoon on the spot and seeing those eyes get widened in surprise. Every time you pick that marker in your session, the participants are bound to look at the board out of curiosity. Is it not a wonderful feeling? You feel accomplished, as you have succeeded in getting the attention you needed to begin your session. Try it, you won't be disappointed. "
